Specially licensed law students acting under the close supervision of clinic faculty attorneys represent individuals who are unable to pay for legal services. The Washburn Law Clinic functions as an in-house general practice law firm, providing representation in practice concentration areas. The Washburn Law Clinic generally handles cases pending in the geographical confines of Shawnee County. The Law Clinic is unable to give legal advice or answer questions unless you are a current client.
Kansas Bar Association
This organization provides educational resources for personal use and ways to research legal counsel. They offer a database of KBA member-lawyers. They also partner with Kansas Legal Services to provide free legal assistance to low-income clients.
Elder Law Hotline
Elder Law Hotline is a project of Kansas Legal Services. Hotline attorneys answer questions in civil cases for Kansans age 60 or older. Cases may be referred to a local Senior Citizens Law Project attorney or a private attorney. Elder Hotline: 888-353-5337
